Spirit of Hope 2016 was the most successful fundraising Benefit in Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center's (FSWC) history. We would like to thank our fantastic Co-Chairs, Fred and Linda Waks, for their tireless energy and leadership, and to offer our appreciation to everyone who supported the gala and the dozens of inspiring and impactful programs Spirit of Hope funds
throughout the year. The Benefit raised $3.75 million to further FSWC's tolerance education workshops and advocacy efforts designed to confront racism and antisemitism. Through their charitable contributions, each and every one of our 2,500 guests has had a profound influence in helping to protect Canadian freedoms and human rights. The great success of Spirit of Hope will ensure FSWC's capacity to continue our efforts to overcome hatred and discrimination, and to promote the values of tolerance and justice we all cherish.
